So My Man Mitch ran the best gubernatorial campaign of 2008, huh? The author has a decent grasp of Indiana politics but the idea that Mitch stole back the electorate by riding around in an RV is silly. He hits the nail on the head, though, when he mentions that the Democratic party foisted a candidate on voters who is uninspiring even by Hoosier standards. The LOL-worthy line, though, is that Daniels is “already being touted in some circles as a 2012 presidential candidate for the GOP.” ORLY? Don’t get my wrong. I am not a fan of the Indiana Republican party but I voted for the guy because he focuses on real issues like the economy and education and downplays silly social conservative agenda issues like abortion and gay marriage. He is not Supreme Leader material, he’s a corporate manager and policy wonk. It’s what Indiana needs but I don’t see it playing nationally.
