Planned Parenthood of Indiana is in hot water and as in almost every abortion related conflagration, both sides are left looking misguided. On one hand, Planned Parenthood’s people went off the reservation and said things they weren’t supposed to say. On the other hand, Live Action, the group that shot the secret video, used a dramatic but relatively rare scenario to set up Planned Parenthood for a fall. In the end, there will be no substantive dialog about sex education, abuse of minors, unwanted pregnancy, etc, just a lot of gamesmanship by people who always seem more interested in “winning” than in the lives of people effected. What would you do if a pregnant, abused minor came to you for advice?
