I’ve been laid up the last few days with some kind of general illness (no, not H1N1) that I believe was the result of allergies, plaster dust from my wrecked house, and exhaustion. I haven’t been able to concentrate on much so I’ve spent a lot of my waking hours trolling the net for episodes of the handful of television shows I watch and reading MMA blogs. I’ve been pretty bored and cranky but one amusing byproduct of my malady is a more memorable dream state. For instance, last night I dreamt that I was stuck at my grandparents’ house and I decided to order delivery. A short while later, the delivery guy arrived and it turned out to be Dann Stupp from MMAJunkie, a popular MMA blog I read. I guess in my dream world Dann was expanding the MMAJunkie franchise to include pizza delivery which is insane enough but then for some reason the pizza and delivery were both free. And did I mention he delivered from Dayton, Ohio to Indianapolis? The pizza was decent but Dann, if you read this – stick with the blog. Free interstate pizza delivery is a really terrible business model.

You’ve been thinking WAY WAY WAY too much about models for free content delivery. Keep dreaming, one day you’ll come up with the web-journalism equivalent of the structure of benzene.
