In honor of American Craft Beer Week, Clay Robinson hosted a Craft Beer Dinner at Spencer’s with his friend, Chef JJ Boston on Tuesday night. Chef JJ had his egg rockin’ and rollin’ and Clay, Dustin from Spencer’s and Matt Clapesattle paired the delicious grub (beer soaked kabobs, prawns on baguette, artisan beef and fingerling potatoes, bread pudding, OMFG) with delicious suds like Anchor Steam’s Liberty, Dogfish Head’s Indian Brown Ale, Three Floyd’s Dreadnaught and Sun King’s own citrus-y Belgian Saison and wheat beers, piloted by the paradoxically expert amateur hand of Michael Pearson.

While I enjoy food and beer I don’t purport to be an expert on either. I can say that I enjoyed the food, the drink, and the company quite a bit and am glad that Clay & Co. have decided to host another dinner at the same location on Weds., July 15. This dinner will be nestled between the Indiana Brewers Cup and the Indiana Microbrewers Festival, so it will be a damn good week for craft beer drinkers in Indy. Word is that Goose the Market will be on board for the next dinner as well.
