With just a few more bureaucratic hoops to jump through and a bit more construction, Sun King is almost ready to start production. The public’s first opportunity to sample Sun King recipes will be the Phoenix Theatre Brew Haha – the MECA homebrewer’s association will create pilot batches using Colt and Robinson’s recipes. If you want try all of Sun King’s first batch on tap at one time, mark your calendar for the brewer’s dinner at 6 p.m. on Weds., July 15 at Spencer’s Stadium Tavern. Chef JJ Boston of Back Yard in Broad Ripple will grill a five course dinner on the egg using local and regional ingredients from Goose the Market. Each course will be paired with a Sun King beer. The dinner costs $39 and you can register here.
