I’ve known the Venogram guys – Alex Johnson, Collin Armstrong, and Dylan Griffith – for several years and believe them to be some of the most talented people living and working in town. Creative people often leave Indy in search of more supportive environments, but Alex, Collin, and Dylan are fighting the good fight. Soon after they finished touring the festival circuit with “Red Harvest,” they started working on their new short, “Thank You for Calling Information Dynamics.” I got to see some raw footage last Friday and it looks great. You can see production stills shot by Kristen Leep here. We had a long conversation about the film industry (such that it is in Indianapolis) and whether or not there is a long-term future for what they do here. I, for one, think that there is, there just has to be a broader commitment to visual and performing arts in central Indiana.
Do you think that film has a future in Indianapolis?
